Review for
Holosun Paralow Circle Dot Sight with Mount
I really like everything about this sight except one thing: In auto mode it adjust brightness apparently based only on what the solar panel detects as ambient light. It looks strictly at ambient light sources coming from ABOVE and ignores other directions entirely. This is just fine for outdoors with natural light. However, indoors or at night, ambient light often comes from HORIZONTAL directions like a window, or more importantly, a weapon-mounted light. Consider this scenario where the sight is weak: It's night and you hear a sound in the house you go to investigate. You grab your firearm just in case with this sight and a light mounted and proceed through the darkened house, sighting through the red dot. The red dot has appropriately dimmed the red dot in the low lighting so you can see to better. And then you detect a home invader across the room and activate the weapon light. The bright light reflected back washes out the red dot, but the sight is looking straight up to determine ambient light. It is dark up there (especially if you are outside at night) and this sight doesn't compensate by increasing dot brightness. You are left with a barely visible red dot until you turn your weapon light off. I have other red dots and see similar directional issues, but not nearly as bad as this site. Other red dots seem to factor in more of horizontal light sources.

Works great for me

Fit my Glock 19 as expected. Easy to adjust, comfortable to carry, and real quality workmanship. I have logged about 100 hours wearing it and it still looks new. I wish I would have gotten black, though. The brown is nice, but doesn't conceal as well in the shadows of your jacket.
