This is my first range finder, but it has all of the features I wanted including the line of sight (LOS) and angle modified range (AMR) calculations. I do not need any features to link it to a smart phone or other device so I am most happy with this very economic model that gives me all I need. It is small and very light weight so it can be easily carried, manipulated, and operated with one hand. It seems to be solidly built with quality components. I did return my first one when it arrived with an odd "L" shaped scratch or crack in the optical lens, but Optics Planet has excellent customer service and shipped me a replacement for it very quickly. (If things can happen, they happen to me.) I have ranged items in my neighborhood over two hundred yards away. Other web sites have reviewers saying they have ranged items much farther away, but I have not had a chance to do that. One such site shows 12 reviews that are all very positive giving the product a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
In the interest of being completely honest, I must first state that I won my Full Zip Tech Sweater by Propper in an online contest. When I received the winner's notification by e-mail, I gave them my size and color preference. It arrived soon thereafter and I am very well pleased with the quality, the fit, the style and versatility of this garment. It is perfect for either concealed or open carry during the cooler fall months. It is also designed to wear with a heavier outer garment made by Propper for the more harsh and severe winter months. I was never a fan of sweaters, but this garment has changed my mind. It has the same solid construction I have seen in more expensively priced police uniform garments. YouTube has a video on it that you can find easily with a search there. You can also easily fold down the collar on this sweater and I was not sure it would since I saw no pictures of the collar being worn turned down. It is very comfortable.
The Optics Planet deal on this sweater is a real bargain since the manufacturer's suggested retail price is significantly and deservedly higher. I love the deals and fast shipping I get from Optics Planet and I can honestly tell you this garment has become my very favorite outerwear for cool, fall days here in the mountains.
This is my first spotting scope. I have wanted one for a long time so I can avoid walking 50 to 200 yards or more to see if I am hitting my targets on the range. I did a good bit of research on high priced brands & found that this scope had many of the same features found in those. I also compared it with many of its peers in the same price range, looked at the awards it has won, and read the reviews given here and elsewhere. It arrived quickly and well packaged. I know some reviews say the tripod is of less quality, but actually it is identical to a $38. tripod I found online. It is not a table top tripod, like I would prefer, but it really is not all that bad if you remember it is made of mostly plastic components that do no require cranking like a torque wrench. As far as the scope itself, now that I have had a chance to get it to the range, I am exceedingly impressed with its quality, clarity, range, and performance. I could easily spot hits up to 300 yards being made with .223 & .308 rounds. I could see old bullet holes in wooden target stands that were 400 plus yards away, but I have no idea what caliber these were because we didn't shoot them. I am extremely happy with the Celestron Ultima 80 20x60 Angled scope and the super deal I got on it from OpticsPlanet. It is an excellent first spotting scope for the price.
