I bought this as an upgrade for an AR-10 build, added the butt stock, ATI scorpion grip and a Strike Industries Japan Jcomp Type 89 Compensator all from O.P. The only one of the 3 I hadn't researched before purchasing was the Adaptive Tactical EX Performance Adjustable M4-Style Stock. I read the reviews and figured for the price I couldn't go wrong, and could put it on another rifle it I didn't like the feel on the AR-10. I am definitely impressed with fit,finish and comfort. This was a great addition and I'm now looking forward to upgrading more of my rifles.

I have purchased several of these over the years, my first being installed on a custom WASR-10 build. That rifle ended up very light for an AK and therefore recoil was much more pronounced. When I started looking for recoil mitigation methods, I first replaced the butt stock which helped a bit, but found my wrist was still taking a beating. I found a kit that ATI had made for the AK-47 variants (not sure they still do) and this grip was an integral part of the kit. Upon installing the new butt stock and grip, I was instantly impressed with the level of recoil absorption that was provided. Several installs later and my last purchase was for my newly acquired Matrix Aerospace AR-10 build. While the rifle is a controllably smooth shooter, I chose to give the grip a try to replace the previously installed Larue A2 style, I did it more for a "familiarity" trait of the gun, but also noticed a difference in the comfort level when shooting.
