Quite happy with my Picatinny rail from Talley. Seems to be of good quality and looks great on my Sako A7.

Complaints:
Holes seemed to be slightly miss-placed for the rifle. I had to drill out the two farthest apart holes to get it to fit. Don't know if this was rail or gun.

The anodizing could perhaps be better/thicker. Some scratched off very easily against metal surfaces during fitting. Haven't noticed any degradation since.

I bought my SPARC II a month ago, for my Sako A7 .308wn. Here in NZ, the range of engagement in the bush is rarely over 100yd; usually half that or less for pigs, goat and deer. So although outgunned by the rifle, this sight is well suited.

I fitted the SPARC II using its lowest riser, on a 20MOA Talley Picatinny rail, and sighted in. Combined with the balance of the rifle, this sight is an absolute pleasure to shoot; it comes to the shoulder like a dream, and target acquisition is rapid/intuitive.

With the rifle being new, me being out of practice, and the SPARC II 2moa reticle etc: I was not hitting gold trophy groupings. But I will say that at 100yd I was more than happy with the scope's accuracy, any improvement would have been my own.

Soon after fitting the SPACR II I dropped a red deer in scrubby/swampy grasslands @ 30yd, in low light. Right between the eyes.

Issues:

The Caps!!! Vortex, what are you doing about your caps?!
For such a beautifully engineered scope to come with such hopeless, annoying flip-caps is really disappointing. They are not screwed on (Ok there's probably plenty of reasons for this), but as a result they shift about far too easily. They usually pop open ok.. but when it comes to closing them they move a little on the scope; this sometimes means they won't latch properly. They would really benefit from a re-design involving more rigid hinges and 'doors'. I hear the same about your ARD's, sun shades etc.

Cover restrainer straps: During sight-i

I purchased the Firefield Laser Bore Sight in .308wn for my Sako A7. The price was good, and the bore sight arrived in good packaging with instructions, battery, a paper target etc.
However the laser is not visible in daylight, any further than perhaps 15-20m on a shaded surface, I have had 5mW red lasers before on keychains etc; these performed better.
Secondly I cannot close the action on my A7 with this in the breach; the rim on the bore sight 'cartridge' is machined to thick. This makes using it very awkward and throws any thoughts of real accuracy out the window. Not recommended.
