Turns on by itself
Written on Jan 12, 2025
The light and laser on this Viridian are the best in my opinion. I have Olight, Streamlight and Viridian and between the three the Viridian has the brightest and whitest light. It also has the clearest and brightest laser. My problem is with the button placement and ease of pushing. If I'm carrying in my waistband, it turns on every time I bend over or sit down. It turns itself on less if it's in a holster but it's still a problem. It shouldn't turn itself on ever. I haven't had my olights and streamlights turn on ever, not once. If you're going to carry in your waistband, I definitely would not recommend this light.

Stripped Screws
Written on Nov 02, 2024
Honestly, I like these sights and I got mine really cheap. But I bought 2 and the screws stripped on both of them. These are gun parts so they're supposed to be tight, all I was using was an Allen wrench and they were hand tight and they stripped. That's absolutely ridiculous. I ended up fabricating my own screw and nut and getting them to work but come on... As far as the sights go they work like they're supposed to.

Stripped Screws

So these sights are basically tritium lamps inside FAB defense polymer flip up sights. I really do like them but the reason I gave them 3 stars is because I bought 2 pairs, so 4 sights, and 3 of the 4 screws stripped when I was tightening them onto the rail. I ended up fabricating my own screw and nut to fit them but that's crazy... I would have been pissed if I paid full price but I got them for almost half price with coupons and sales. In the end I got them to work and they're serviceable but come on, are the screws made of polymer too? That's ridiculous...

Seat Depth
Written on Nov 02, 2024
Review for
Firefield 45 Degree Weaver Picatinny Mount
I bought these to add back up, flip up iron sights to my rifle set-up. My top mounted sight is not QD and its battery operated so I wanted something I could switch to quick in cqb. I don't know how else to explain this but the rail cut out was not deep enough to seat the sights. I ended up just using the old dremel and cutting it enough to seat my sights. Honestly I wish I just spent a little more money and got a better pair. I got mine to work but I won't be buying these again. It's ironic because they fit the rail on my rifle perfectly. So Firefeild knows how deep to make the screws and bottom piece but their actual picatinny rail is not cut correctly.
