Skip The Bucket and Modify One From Your Hardware Store
Written on Mar 20, 2016
This is the second Frankford Rotary Sifter I purchased. This one will be used for wet tumbling and the other is reserved for dry. They both work well for my purposes.
The included bucket pivot clips and clip on shields are not great. The pivot clips do tend to slide around some and the shields are kind-of in the way. I recommend skipping the bucket option and getting one from your local hardware or restaurant; 5 gallon sized is what I use. Others have added a screw to the pivot clips to hold them in place which is OK but doesn't address the issue with the shields. Instead, remove the handle from the bucket. Use a hole saw a bit larger than the basket pivots to drill a hole in the bucket where the handles were attached (assures the holes are 180 degrees apart). Use a saw to create a slot to the top edge of the bucket the same width as the hole you just drilled. With this simple modification, the basket drops into the bucket several inches eliminating the need for the shields and keeps the basket centered in the bucket for easy turning.

No Frills Performance

Review for
Lee Precision Pacesetter 3-Die Set
Like every other Lee die set I have, this one gives no frills performance. If you give them a good cleaning and then set them up per the included instructions, the should work as intended. The included factory crimp die was just the ticket to add a slight crimp to the completed cartridges which "ironed out" the flare added by a Lyman M-die.
I did not have any issues with the die not bumping the shoulders back enough like some of the other reviews. If you do have a shorter chambered barrel, dusting the top of the shell holder off would be a good solution.
