Works on a Marlin 25
Written on May 20, 2018
I emailed the company to ask if they make a rail for the Marlin model 25 and they responded that they do not. After comparing the Marlin model 25 with the 917 they looked very much alike and decided to buy this rail to try it out. Since this was going on a gun that once belonged to my father I wanted something of quality to hold the heavy optics I was planning to install on the rifle. The rail does fit the model 25 but you either remove the rear iron sight off the rifle or grind a small area off the front of the rail to allow it to clear the rear sight of the rifle. I opted for the latter and while grinding the rail I was impressed with the quality of the picatinny rail material. Then drilled and tapped the receiver and installed the rail according to the instructions provided with the rail. I have great confidence this will hold the 6 - 24 x 50 mm scope that I am using while competing at 1 and 200 yard shoots with my dads old Marlin.
I get great pleasure out posting higher scores with this old Marlin than others who have the latest and greatest high priced rifles!

Good eye protection

Review for
Beretta Adult Metal Frame Glasses
I chose these glasses since they do not have a frame that can get in the way when shooting. When shooting various types of guns, i.e. skeet, pistol, or rifle your eyes will at times be directed up and a frame will sometimes get in the way. A good example is when shooting long distance from the prone position and looking in a scope. These glasses have no frame to get in the way and still give good eye protection all around.
