If you are thinking about purchasing, know that the glass has a blue tint. These are not leicas or swaro's. The glass quality is just not comparable to the premium glass companies. BUT and this is a big BUT... You get possibly the best laser range finder under $10k plus sigs great ballistic app that is super easy to use.

These are in a complete different class compared to the vortex fury hd 5000 ab. I tried vortex and it feels like old tech. The display information in the sig 10k is superior to vortex.

If you only have 1500 to spend I suppose the vortex will work.

These are well worth the price and the data it provides is unmatched.

I sold my Leica Geovids to purchase these. My leicas would always fail me lasing targets when the temps dropped. The Sig 10K has not had that issue.

The only thing to improve would be better glass. (that being said the glass is still decent)

There are very limited reviews on this unit, which is odd to me. This handheld thermal delivers exactly what I was expecting out of a 1k unit. I had the first gen LTO Tracker for 3 days and returned it. The first Gen is not the quality I was wanting. I was somewhat hesitant to purchase the LTO HD after my experience with the first gen LTO, but I am so glad I took the chance on this LTO HD. In short, you can spot rabbits easily at 50 yards, they pop out at you on the screen. I did also spot rabbits at further distances which is a bit more difficult but it can be done out to 70 +/- yards. Coyotes can easily be identified out to 100 -130 yards. After that, you can still see that something is there, but just can't quite make it out. Humans and deer can be Identified out to 250 yards. When I did this testing it was about 60 degrees and at 11:30 pm

I don't think you will be disappointed in this thermal as long as you realize it has some limitation. It is a 1k thermal, don't expect to see field mice at a 100 yards with it. The battery life is short. I am getting about 2.25 hours out of mine, so make sure you have a good supply.

Final thoughts: This product is a home run in my book, It is way better than the original LTO. Don't waste your hard earned money on that unit. Get this one, the LTO HD! I use this unit for scanning for thermal signatures then switch over to my ATN 4k pro infrared night optic for hunting situations, just in case you were wondering.
