Maybe it is my pistol?

This was supposed to fit a Girsan Influencer MC 1911 SC which is pre-cut for RMSc optics, but there is a lump on the back, which made the plate too long for the pistol slide. This was the one that was recommended by two product specialists, so I am not sure what the deal is here.

holosun dot mounting plate for HELLCAT
