The stock saddle creates an outstanding cheek weld that is so much superior to what the standard collapsible buttstock offers that you must experience to believe it. Only negative is that I had to trim the "tabs" on the underside of the saddle (where it fits into the grooves on the factory buttstock) to position it so that you could line up the screw holes on the stock saddle with the provided mounting brackets that attach to the buttstock. The trimmed area is not visible once installed but was rather tedious due to the tabs being on the underside and difficult to trim without cutting yourself or making an unwanted "gash" on the saddle. The plastic is hard to cut (which is good for durability but bad for trimming purposes). If I had not had to trim the tabs to fit, the product would be near perfect in all regards.

Cons: had to be trimmed with a knife in order to fit my collapsible stock

I received my order very promptly but my enthusiasm ended quickly when I removed the product from the packaging. The CAA Stock Saddle I received was faulty. The saddle it self was not completely there. It appears as if during the manufacturing process the mould was not completely filled which left one of the storage looking like it had a melted crack down the entire length of the storage tube. There were other places that were less severe as well. It is easy to mount but the overall construction does not feel as though it could take any abuse. If all you are doing is going to the range then it should do fine but I would not recommend this for military / LE personnel.

Cons: Feels cheap / brittle. May not survive a short drop
