In short, the optic works as advertised. The large field of view on this device is amazingly clear. The rechargeable battery has a great lifetime on a single charge. I have yet to need the backup battery. In fact, I removed the backup battery to test how long the rechargeable battery lasted and playing with the optic daily for two weeks, it did not run out of juice. I highly recommend it.
