Ok for small caliber rifles - Caldwell Lead Sled 3 Shooting Rest with Weight Tray

I purchased this for my 6.5 CM Ruger precision rifle. I could not get the stand in place after each shot. I even wrapped a motorcycle strap around the bench and still moved. Stand will not hold a AR rstyle rifle., Handle hits bar running down the center of stand.
