Although most of the reviews were positive on this, I was a little bit skeptical about buying it. I’m glad I actually tried it out. This thing works great. I have a progressive press, but would still rather load the primers with this tool then with my press. I can sit and watch TV or a movie while doing this. Primers seat very easily and it’s a breeze to use. It will work as fast as you can move. I loaded 900 cases without any issues. Five stars for me.

I have used a lot of different primer seaters of mine & my friends. This is the best built hand primer any of us have used. Having the shell holders with this set makes it even nicer. Lee shell holders fit this too. Wish I would have started out with this one I wouldn't have had to buy any more. The adjustable depth adjustment for the primers is a great feature not offered with others.
Cons:
- a little heavier but not too much

Wouldn't feed small primers because slot in primer feed was too small. Ground it out and now works great in that regard. Shellholders too loose to seat primers deep enough, even when adjusted all the way. Sent for Lee shell holders or might have to shim housing slot.
Pros:
- Heavy Duty
- Holds primer centered
Cons:
- Poorly fitting shellholders

Small primers jam where the tray plugs into the tool. The selection of shellholders is minimal. For the price of this tool, I would expect it to work with both large and small primers. I expected it to out perform the lower priced brand but such is not the case.

This priming method works very well. It is a big upgrade from priming on the press. This package includes most common shell holders and both large and small primer rams. It is easy to use, even on freshly reamed military crimped brass. I highly recommend this product.
Pros:
- Versitile
- Versatile and well made

Primer feeder fits lossely and primers get stuck at the neck all the time, primers also get stuck in the seater and are hard to pop out, feels nice and heavy, its nice that it comes with all the shell holders but the execution of it actualy functioning is garbage

While this tool is mostly a winner, I have issues with the primers feeding well into the tool. They seem to hang up or become stuck right at the narrow area to the feed chute. I've had to remove the tray and shake the primer tray to dislodge them. Also the tray needs to be shaken a little while operating to make sure another primer feeds into the priming pin area. Even with those issues, I'm extremely happy with this seating tool. My previous tool was using the priming arm on my Lyman press. I've gone through a couple of the swing arms (spring arm has broken off) and recently it keeps dropping primers when the swing arm was being used to seat a primer (then I'd have to chase the dropped primer on the floor). This tool is much, much quicker to get the job done versus the press priming arm. Some of the primers in the tray are hard to get to flip over but this can easily be overcome by simply flipping the few that don't want to play well with some tweezers or your fingernails. I "highly" recommended from me (and one could ask themselves "why didn't I get one of these sooner?")! Optics Planet had the best price I could find (AND had it in stock). Shipping was fast too.
Pros:
- easy to use
- nice storage case
- Quicker than the press priming arm
- Heavy-duty construction
- Portable (don't have to stand at reloading bench)
- Comes with probably all the seat holders you need
- Controllable seating depth (hard stop)
- Easy to seat primers without effort
Cons:
- Primers sticking in the loading tray
- Primer tray cover tricky to remove
- Seat holder fit & finish is lacking a bit
- Could hurt your bare toes if you drop this thing on them (it's weighty)

This is a very substantial piece of equipment. I have been reloading since 1985 and this is the nicest priming tool I’ve used, beside the Sinclair. This unit is adjustable for seating depth- you probably won’t find that anywhere else.
Pros:
- Adjustability, shell holders included, great value

Works well seats primers just below case head as adjusted. I did get 2 in upside down out of 450 cases even though I had all primers in the tray properly at the start. It can wear out your hand a little but I am 63 years old with a little arthritis

For years I have suffered with the flimsy and now apparently obsolete Lee Auto XR hand primer tool. What really burns me about that unit was that it was so poorly made that it wore out to the point it was not seating the primers completely. I didn't notice this problem until I had primed several thousand cases of 9mm, 308, 223 and so on. After reading up on the Frankford Arsenal hand primer, I took the plunge and ordered it. What a night and day difference! Not only is it a heavy tool, but it is comfortable and overbuilt. It's solid and the best part is that it's adjustable for seating depth, something that the subpar Lee unit didn't have. Say hello to properly primed cases!
