As others have, I’ve tried multiple tests and bags filled with sand, beads, etc. when I’m at the range, it’s a time suck trying to get the exact height with bag style rests. You’re constantly fiddling to ensure you get the right shape but then the next shot, you have to adjust again. This rest is well constructed, sturdy and reminds me of old school factory equipment. It’s heavier than my portable rest but I’m not lugging this thing around hunting. I only use it for practice. It’s sturdy, easily adjustable, and every moving part can be locked in place. This is my “go to” from here on out.
Pros:
- well made
- Adjustable
- Sturdy
- solid

Very well built and Stable. I was disappointed to receive my Rock Deluxe with no bubble level as is pictured on this model. It must have been a left over from a previous model that had no bubble level. I resolved the issue by attaching a plate with dual directional carpenter level which is better anyway.

Seems very well made and functions well. Best price I could find on internet was at Optics Planet. I have been using Caldwell tack driver bags and still not sure which I like best. Getting decent groups with both rests.

Works as one would think. Adjusts easily for elevation no adjustment for windage.Much more stable front rest then just using sand bag or range bag. More stable platform for general shooting. It helped with my ability to hold rifle more secure/steady. I do use a rear bag along with this rest, the combination works well for me. Accuracy for me improved Over using bipod or front shooting bag.
Pros:
- Built well,function perfectly

Fine rest but I would recommend the next higher one if you want to compete in Bench rest competition It allows for micro adjustments of the wind sighting as well. If you are just looking for a sight in rest this is fine. It is well made and sturdy. Remember you also need a back bag of sorts. You can make incremental elevation adjustments with the threaded feet.

First I would like to say l don't leave reviews when I order online. Reason because I can't type good. The reason I'm typing this is because optics planet got its name because they are the best online store on the planet. The best people to talk to and very respectful. If I need anything optics is the place I go to. Prices can't be beat. Now on to the Caldwell rest it's better than what other reviews said. For the money you want beat it. I'm a bench shooter and it is solid. Don't hesitate to buy it you won't regret it .

Haven't use it yet but after assembling it I like it. It's well designed compact and reasonably
priced. Many shooting range stations leaves little room for a large rest and this one is sufficient. There are a couple plastic parts which should be made of metal but I won't know about its strength until using it for awhile. All in all it's a nice product for the money.

I use this out on the range. it's very sturdy and well balanced. It's a lot heavier than what I expected, but this is a good thing. It's easy to assemble and no tools are required. I would definitely buy it again.
Pros:
- Well made and easy to adjust
- heavy contruction

Generally, the materials are good quality and fit and finish is good. It serves as a good bench rest for rifle zero work and load development. Bags are lightweight but weight isn't necessary. It should last a long time if taken care of. It fits me well, I need a rest to shoot from, not one to impress the guy next to me with. You will need to buy or make a 'riser' for the butt stock bag as it is a little low. I recommend this rest.
