I thought this was the updated version, but it works. It's gives you a stable platform to site in your firearm. At the price its not hard to do without some of the features on the newer version.

Caldwell Steady Rest NXT
For the price, a good value. But- too light for repeat accuracy. Also AR-15 guns will only work with 20 round magazines.I use a 25 lb. bag of shot on mine, which greatly improves performance. Also carry a screwdriver to remove center connector.
cheaply made
This thing is very cheaply made. It doesnt fit tactical rifles with the magazine unless you buy 10 round mags or manual load your rifle without a magazine. You will be better of with a set of sand bags for tactical rifles.
