They do one job, and one job only. BUT worth every penny. Bolt catch installation with a roll pin can be tricky especially if you don't want to scratch up your lower.

Made the install easy

These punches made the install of bolt catch roll pin easy. They are made so they won't mar the finish when installing the roll pin. I have always had issues with roll pins but these made it so easy. The pin was installed in seconds.

A must have for your next build

I purchased this punch kit for my first AR build. I honestly guessed what tools I would need. I don’t know how I would have installed the buffer assembly without it. Not fancy, but does the job. Would highly recommend having this kit on your workbench.

Very nice install punch kit

I bought this punch and starter set for my first ever AR build. These two tools made installation of the bolt catch a cinch. The rubberized coating prevented any marring of the receiver surface and the flat sides made it easy to maneuver and drive the roll pin into place. Would definitely recommend.

wheeler ar bolt catch punch

I used the Wheeler AR Bolt Catch Install Punch Kit 710906. It worked perfectly when used with a proper AR vice block. I was able to find this product at a reasonable price on Optics Planet website. I'm planning on building more AR's with this tool it makes it a bit easier.
