Wheeler does it again! This meter is spot on in determining your trigger pull. I have checked my pistols and long guns. This also gives you insight as to modifications needed on an existing trigger or a new install. If you're a gun owner and enjoy range time, this is a must-have. Thank you,Optics Planet and Wheeler!

This trigger gage is the best I’ve used. The rotating force sensor holder makes configuring the device easy for access to around odd shapes and features on weapons. The force sensor is in direct contact with the trigger making it very accurate.
Pros:
- force sensor mounted to touch trigger directly
- averages several measurements automatically
Cons:
- the main unit is a little bulky

Received the Wheeler Pro trigger gauge soon after ordering it online. It arrived packaged well without any damage. After unpackaging it I reviewed the owner manual (foldout) and retrieved a very small Phillips screw head from my Wheeler driver kit. After removing the rear screw exposing the battery compartment, I inserted two AAA batteries then performed a function test and refastened the rear cover. I followed by retrieving three pistols and ran a five times trigger pull on each recording the max, min, and average (for both D/A and S/A pulls). I wrote the results on a notepad which I’ll refer back to after a few hundred rounds from each later when I test again for comparison. There are three settings to select from when performing the trigger pulls. The live pull is about worthless as it does show the consistent pull weight throughout the pull but doesn’t pause the max pull weight (pounds and ounces measure which I used) for a few seconds making it nearly impossible to read the resultant LED display. The other reading results are fine. This is a very good device to know for sure what your firearms trigger pull weight actually is versus advertised.

The overall functionality, ambidextrous product design and accuracy is desirable; however, the finish of the clear acrylic plastic display isn't as professional as it should be. Lots of micro-scratches makes the product appear used. And there is no protective film like most of us would expect to find as in many other consumer electronic products.
Pros:
- ambidextrous design, TV-remote style button layout
Cons:
- Clear plastic finish has micro scratches right out of the box

Trigger gauge came well packaged but w/o a protective film over the face, which was very scuffed. It looks used. Appears to work well but looks like it came from someone's range bag.
Pros:
- Testing trigger pull weight

There was a seal on the outer box that had to be cut to open, there's a plastic case inside with the Wheeler Trigger gauge in it. All good...until I pulled the gauge itself out. First, no protective film over the screen. I bought a $6 digital tire gauge that had protective film. The face of the gauge looks like it's been banging around in someones range bag for awhile. The gauge works and is legible but it's condition gives me pause to it's accuracy.

Title says it all. Pull fast= light reading. Pull slow=heavier reading. I get trying to be consistent with every pull, but say I do a trigger job, and my aim is to lighten the pull weight, then I could manipulate this gauge to do just that by speeding up my trigger pull and voila, it's done. Lame if you ask me. Also feels very cheaply built. I should have given it two stars, but I'm feeling generous.

Was on sale and purchased. Love being able to keep a running average of trigger weights as well as number of pulls; and if you don’t like a particular pull, delete. I use on all my firearms. I take my time placing the scale’s bar in the same place on the trigger every time for a consistent measurement.
Best Used for:
- Taking and averaging trigger weights
