The Wheeler Fine Gunsmith Equipment Roll Pin Starter Set is the perfect set to make starting those small roll pins a breeze... I have been using this set for long enough to kick myself in the butt for not buying it sooner... High quality and a sturdy case all at a good price...

The pieces are quality and work well for the AR.
You may still struggle with the bolt catch since it sits so flush against the receiver, but with some patience you’ll have no issues.
The biggest reason people hate roll pins is because they try to drive them in without a starter lunch. Do the job right and get this set.

Disappointed
meh. that's all I can say. The one roll pin starter punch in the set that I actually needed was way too short to actually install a roll pin on an AR15. I had to use a second punch to strike this stubby punch with a hammer. I got the job done, but it was a CF.

Looks good
I haven’t used the set yet but they look like they are good for my needs. I see bad reviews but to each is own. I will update once I give them a try. But so far I haven’t gotten anything bad from op.

As Advertised
As expected from Wheeler for better-quality gunsmithing tools, these roll pin starters made met expectations for light-duty firearms work, while recognizing that the larger sizes will probably never be used in that capacity; with that said, closer spacing on the smaller sizes would be preferable, hence the 1-star penalty.

nice product
This is a very nice container the Roll Pin Starter set comes in, just like the punch set it can be rolled up and put in a drawer or on a pegboard for easy access ( like I do ) and the marking above each roll pin starter is easy to see in just a glace. I ordered this set and about 4 days later it was at my door ready for use. Thanks Optics Planet for the great selections and the fast and friendly customer service. I will be an Optics Planet customer for a long time to come.

Great product easy to use. Really helps start the roll pin when you have bad vision. Storage pouch help keep them organized. Easy to transport to the range and use on the bench. Great quality tool for the price. Makes the job easy when building ARs
