It works
This is designed fora smaller person. The straps could be wider. If your XL thru the chest and shoulders you will max out the Strap's. Overall its a good rig.

Perfect for Day Hikes
I used this recently while out shed hunting and it met my needs perfectly. It doesn't have a lot of storage space but you can utilize the flap covering the water bladder to store items as well which worked great for carrying sheds. I'm looking forward to using this more for day hikes and have even rigged up a system to attach it to my pack for multiday hikes.

Great Product! Functionality is superb!
The Ambush (mine is the Foliage version) is a great product. It is the perfect size for carrying around all day hiking or on the range without being too large. Just the right amount of straps for sizing perfectly to your body. Good storage space in two extra compartments as well as the MOLLE capability. I like having the Velcro pad at the top to adhere my old Army name tape to. Overall, I am very pleased with the product.
