Great material with a quality feel and performs well. Bladder has proven to be durable so far and the adjustable straps make it extremely comfortable. It sits high up on your back so walking, climbing, running and crawling are easily done while at the same time leaves room to access tools on your belt without adjusting anything. Cleaning has not been difficult but you can buy a cleaning kit specifically for this and similar products. Great for hiking.
Best Used for:
- Hiking,hunting,fishing,bird watching, bug out

I bought this camelback in multicam. I wanted it primarily for my work as a Game Warden; however, I love it so much I use it for everything. My wife keeps taking it too for her marathons. No complaints, excellent product and holds up to extreme environments.

Overall, this is a good water bag. However, if you are looking for a "bag" with water container you may be disappointed. As a water bag, this product is large enough and all parts are easy for releasing and cleaning. But it is only a water bag. There is no extra bag for holding personal stuffs such like keys. There are some rings on the bag so you can hang something or some small bags on that but basically it is not a real bag.
Pros: large water bag, parts are easy to release
Cons: no extra bags for personal stuffs

Overall, great hydration pack. Have been using it almost every other day. Keeps water cold for a while, and is very easy to adjust. Great nozzle for drinking.
My only real complaint is lack of pockets. There is one large compartment in which the hydration pack is, but I would have like a couple of small but isolated pockets for phone or keys.
Pros: Hydration pack, tube, weight distribution, adjustability
Cons: not many pockets, no way to remove hydration pack from backpack

I purchased this unit to mount on the back of my tactical molle vest. The unit is the perfect size but the shoulder straps would not adjust down far enough to properly secure it to the attach points on the back of my vest. However I was able to remedy this with about $8.00 worth of straps and buckles purchased at my local gun show. Overall the construction is very solid and I like how easily the mouth piece comes out for cleaning. It also has an easy to use shut off valve to prevent leaking when not in use.
Pros: Very sturdy construction, nice size.
Cons: Not very easy to mount on the back of a molle vest.

I have never had any type malfunction with the Camelbak and has served it's purpose quite well.
The 3L is good for short missions or cool days. Because the reservoir is shy of 1 gallon of water, you will definitely want to take more water or know of potable water sources along your route if you are looking to be out for a long period of time or on an extremely hot day.
They make larger systems, so make sure you buy in relation to what you will be using it for.
Believe it or not, water can get real heavy real quick!
Pros: Ease of use and transportation in the field.
Cons: I haven't found one yet.
