Camp Chef Smoke Pro
As a beginner into smoking, I must say I was not disappointed at all when I got my new Camp Chef smoker. I broke it in at 350* for thirty minutes, as instructed to do so by the owner's manual. Then I placed a whole well seasoned chicken on the grill and turned the temperature down to LOW SMOKE. I let it slow cook with my Camp Chef Premium Hard Wood Competition Blend pellets. About four hours later, the internal temperature reached 170* and I took it off the grill. I allowed it to stand for a little while (5 minutes, LOL!) I just couldn't resist waiting any longer, because the golden brown skin looked so good. Well I must say, I have never eaten such a moist grilled chicken in my life. When I sliced into it, the juice was just flowing. I am definitely sold on Camp Chef! Buy this grill you wont be disappointed.
Pros:
- Low heat variance (5-8 degrees)
- Easy clean up
- Internal probes very accurate
Cons:
- Can't Find Any
Best Used for:
- Good food

Easy Grilling
heavy gr
PROS - it produces wonderful ribs on a slow 6 hour grill. it operates as expected and other than checking every half hour, everything worked and kept the temperature and I really didn't have to check it, but once an hour. Smoked ribs that day, did a slow cook chicken wings another day, and normal pork chops another. The open searing you really have to watch and it was similar to a gas grill for searing. Cleanup was a surprise in 2 ways. Hardly any ash in the cup. Scrapped the grill grates for a minute or two and put in the dishwasher. I never got my hand or anything else dirty. The ribs by the way were the most tender I have had. Love it. Pellets were alot less than you would expect and hardly anything in the drip cup. The startup time was shorter than a charcoal grill and the same as a gas grill. You always know how much pellets you have used unlike a gas grill
CONS - the grill is very heavy so it takes two people to put up right and easy to move around.
