Most Helpful Positive Review Canon EOS 5D Mark II
Superb instrument! Rugged construction in a physically smaller package than the 1D series (I have small hands). I am moving from film and the full-frame sensor has allowed me a smoother transition as I "know" what focal length lenses to use in a given situation - no translating. This convenience does come at a cost - literally - the full frame sensor adds significantly to the price of the camera. To me the cost was justifiable. The view panel protection (or lack thereof) is not unique to Canon, but more factory provided protection would be appreciated. I heartily recommend this camera to anyon...

Excellent camera considering the features included. A definite upgrade from the Canon 5D.

Great step up for Canon

I have been using canon digital SLR cameras for a long time now and this one has taken a massive step up in image quality. If only the autofocus were better it would be a perfect camera in 2010.
Pros: Amazing image quality
Cons: The autofocus still sucks!

Sports Shooting

I got this camera to shoot sports and loved every minute of it. The fast frames per second on this SLR really stand out! I was shooting primarily outdoors with one of my nice Canon Lenses. It was very easy to get into the menu and be able to access shutter and ISO outside of the menu, unlike some SLR's I have played with in the past. Has a nice large screen! The number of Megapixels is perfect for the sensor and the image clarity is simply astounding! Also the camera is very durable! I dropped it a few times on the soccer field and didn't slow down for one bit! Also the quality of the lenses is simply superior to any other manufacture and I am extremely happy with my purchase and recommend this to any user who is experienced with SLR's.
