I upgraded from the S95 to the S120 and what a difference. I have been having great success running the star mode to make short time-lapse clips and star trails. The low level performance is no comparison. The flash is a pop-up on the side, and completely manual from the sense that if you don't raise it, the flash is off. Other neat features are the facial recognition, blink detection, burst mode. The only downside which I knew before hand is there is no manual, so I had downloaded it beforehand from Canon and reviewed it. There are so many features with this, it is really a requirement. There is also wireless to phone which I is on my list to try, have to check the manual.
