Captian is a great portable scope
The Captain is a very durable, portable, and powerful scope. I like using it better than binoculars, which require more fussing (to bring both sides in focus) than I care to engage in. I love that the design is highly resistant to shock, and I find the size very easy to take along. Because this tiny scope has a tripod mount, it's allowed me to practice a little amateur astronomy ... I could even see Jupiter's four big moons with it! Very clear image. The only downside is that it can be a bit hard to find an image in the eyepiece for my kids (though I manage it easily).
