Most Helpful Positive Review BlackHawk CQC Carbon Fiber Holster
I really like this holster. I bought it for use in IDPA competition. The included belt loop and paddle attachments work really well. The holster fits comfortably and holds my 1911 securely. My only issue (and it is a small one) is that when the friction retention is setup loose enough to really quickly draw, my 1911 slide rattles. Obviously for true concealment you would tighten it up a bit more and this would be no issue. It certainly hasn't stopped me from using it and quite frankly it works VERY well for IDPA. Pros: Easy to setup, great features, works like it should Cons: slight ratt...

Springfield CQC holster

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from MT, United States Written on March 20, 2012
I bought this holster to make up a USPSA drop/offset holster rig without paying the high dollars asked for some other kydex DOH rigs out there. This holster worked perfectly. I used it in my first match of the season on sunday, and I am very impressed. Pistol retention was good, draws were smooth and easy. I was able to get two holsters(Glock 23 and Springfield XDM9), a drop loop, and tac spacer kit for less than the cost of one of the "competition" kydes brands out there!
Pros: Low cut front for easy draw, good retention.
Cons: Not as close fitment tolerances as I would have liked
Would recommend: Yes

Pros: Holds pistol well without having to go with a Serpa retention holster
Cons: Not as close tolerances as I would have hoped. Still fits pistol well.

Good for IDPA

This is a not so expensive holster for IDPA purposes... smooth fast draw and reholtering. Retension is adjusted by a single screw. The paddle option is convenient for easy in and out of your belt. No problem so far.
Pros: Smooth fast draw and reholstering
Cons: none so far

Great Product

I already have a Blackhawk serpa, but needed a holster without the locking component for some classes and training. Blackhawk products have always proven themselves to be durable, reliable and functional. I have nothing but positive things to say about this holster. You won't be dissappointed.

Pros: Durable, Priced Right

Easy usage

Holster feels sturdy en can take abuse.
Tension is easily set up so for me it acts in a dual role as CC option and in competition use. No complaints on either front.

Great holster

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on July 11, 2011
Another great quality product from Blackhawk. Used it first attached to a belt to hold my Beretta 92FS. Adjustments allow for different width belts, cant angle of holster and retaining tension of gun at the trigger guard. Been using it for 3-gun competition, works great. Recently bought the Tactical CQC Holster Platform to use it mounted to my leg. Have not used it competition yet but all looks good.
Pros: Easy to adjust & holds securely
Cons: none
