Most Helpful Positive Review Very Impressed - Excellent Gear
I purchased a set of Carlson's extended chokes to replace the Remington factory flush chokes that I have always used. When the chokes arrived I performed a pattern comparison between my old and new chokes using Winchester Xpert #2 steel (my usual bird load). I patterned three shots each at 25 yards...

Most Helpful Negative Review Hunter for 40 years, shooter for more than fifty years
Couldn't wait for my carlson cremator full and modified to come in. Went to pattern with 2 steel Kent. Low left, not just a little. Shot cardboard and can at 40 yards. One pellet on can and cardboard didn't come close to hitting a bird. Rem choke tubes that came with Remington v3 patterns better.

Carlson's 12 guage waterfowl choke tube set.

by Pete Borowick, from MT, United States Written on December 10, 2019
The extended choke tubes are a snap to change out when in the field. They work extremely well out of a Benneli Nova Pump shotgun. Patterned all three chokes at varying yardags using a 30 inch circle. All 2 3/4 thru 3 1/2 inch cartridges with varing steel shot sizes patterned very well. Based on what I have experienced I would highly recommend these chokes to anyone.

Great Chokes

by snowcat, from WA, United States Written on December 30, 2018
Ordered these chokes for my Urika II to be used during duck hunting. Carlson chokes are an excellent option. These arrived as advertised and are of a high quality. I have a number of other Carlson chokes and they all deliver great perfomance.

Nebraska duck and geese

by Remdad270, from NC, United States Written on November 24, 2018
Bought a new A5 for a duck hunt in NB. The Carlson trio took me from close blind shots to sky walking snow geese without a flaw. Patterned well at all ranges. The mid range choke was my favorite shooting a 26 inch barrel. I was able to reach birds well outside the decoy spread with an amazing pattern. The long distance tube scored geese my partner refused to try with his black eagle.

Improved My Shot Ratio!!

by Kaolin Kid, from GA, United States Written on January 20, 2018
First, I'm a die hard duck hunter. It's my passion. Been doing it for years. And I'm an above average shooter. I shoot the original Benelli Black Eagle. Love my gun. I thought I was a good shot before I purchased the Mid-Range and Extended Range Carlson combo choke tube pack. I was shooting the choke tubes that came with my gun. Now, I'm killing ducks further out than I thought was reasonably possible. The pattern that my gun now holds is much evenly spread out at longer distances. I can't convey how much the pattern improved, which in turn resulted in more dead ducks. I just returned from hunting the marsh in South Louisiana. Our guide stated that my shooting was impressive at all ranges, but beyond average at longer distances. I give credit to my Carlson choke tubes. I just wished I had purchased these years ago. Highly recommend these tubes!! One final note - prior to purchasing these tubes, I emailed Carlson (along with Jebs) to ask a couple of questions - the response from Carlson was beyond my expectations. That was the deciding factor for me as I had narrowed my search to Carlson and Jebs (who make a good choke). Jebs responded, but Carlson's response was more detailed and personal. Plus the price was half of the Jebs chokes. Great product at a great price with great customer service! What more could a duck hunter ask for!! And the guarantee - wow!!
Pros:
  • Better patterns at longer distances.
Cons:
  • Zip - Zero - None

Buy em you wont be disappointed

by Gary, from WI, United States Written on May 18, 2017
Browning maxus 12ga, invector +. I bought the 3 pack duck chokes. I planed on using these chokes for all my hunting and shooting. 5 stand sporting clays, pheasant and duck/ goose.after patterning and comparing to stock chokes, they performed better than stock in less strays, and better density but keeping same overall diameter. I tested 71/2 ,4,5,2 shot sizes.2 was steel load high power federal.i did however like the pattern better shooting i/c 7 1/2 lead than mod for target! just a bit more open, i used to shoot stock mod at clays and did pretty good low to mid 40s. No excuses anymore. Gun shoots where dead nuts where uou point it, no high low left right.

Best Out There

by JRE274, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on August 3, 2016
Carlson tubes are the best out there. I kept hearing it over and over. I borrowed one last season for pass shooting over decoys and proved it to myself. This three choke set is going to get a workout come October.
