Most Helpful Positive Review Remington Mag Tube Extension
I did my research for a mag extension and ordered the Carlson that came with a longer spring and the orange hard plastic/rubber follower. I ended up using my original metal follower but had to modify the lip of metal on the inside at the end of the threads so the follower would run smooth. Just made a slight taper. A worm drive hobby tool and 10 minutes was all it took. The quality is great and matched the bluing on my gun perfectly. I would absolutely buy again. Slight mods are expected when you modify firearms.

Good product

It was what I ordered, this 7 shot magazine extender allowed me to cut 4 1/2” off my barrel, leaving me with 18 1/2” remaining, and still have the barrel tip project about an inch past the magazine tube. I’m discovering that Optics Planet has a great many items for my Remington 870, have a fantastic day!

Great value

Carlson’s magazine extensions are well made and are a great value. OP always has the lowest prices and a huge inventory. I have these on all my tactical 870s and have yet to have one fail or jam. There are others on the market, but these work just as well for half the price.

Excellent Mag Extension

Carlson makes an Excellent Mag Extension. Easy to install. Directions on installation process are well expanded step by step. Fit and function are perfect!!! Down side is drilling out the factory mag dimples on the end of the stock magazine well easy peasy!!! Just requires a drill and drill bits, took me 5 min. All and all its awesome having 3 more shells in the gun.
