I purchased the Carson 7X (7 Power) Magnifier on a bit of lark. I was looking for a handy magnifier that was ultra-portable, but I was pretty open to whatever features it might come with. When I saw the amazingly easy price, I figured, Sure, why not. Best purchase I have made in a LONG TIME!!

This is basically a very powerful monocular style magnifier on a foldable stand. You simply unfold the stand that set the magnifier on whatever you wish to view, There are graduated scale measurement markers in both standard (inch) and metric. I use this feature for photographing collectibles for insurance purposes. Imagine taking a quick photo of your expensive jewelry, using the magnification to pick up every detail of your gemstones or cast details, AND the bonus of showing a scale in inches or centimeters!

How about if you just want a closer look at a small object. Say you need to remove a splinter. Repairing a small piece of equipment. Reading small type. Please note that this is NOT a true reading glass. But it IS so portable that you can slip it in a pocket and take it everywhere! I have one in my raincoat pocket wherever I go. I also have one in the glovebox of our car. This little magnifier would also work in an emergency survival mode to start a small fire, using the power of the sun. Add a little tinfoil and you have an improvised signaling device.

The uses for this little wonder could go on and on, but only YOU will be able to direct the uses once you try it out for yourself! Believe me, I have spent more money on a fast food burger and come away far less satisfied than I am with the usefulness of this little gem! I say againEVERYONE should own one at this price!
