Carson universal is ok, but... - CARSON Universal Optics Adapter

The Carson universal is a great idea, and it does get the job done, but I feel like it could be improved. I bought this for use with an Iphone 6, and while it does work with this phone, it doesn't work as good as it could. The camera lens on Iphone is offset to the right corner of the phone, and the Carson works best if your phone has a camera lens in the center of the phone. I feel like this for reason alone they should offer a specific model for iPhone or re-engineer the device, because with iphone the Carson's spring system is stretched to the max and doesn't hold the phone near as well as it does with phones with a centered camera lens. Also the four fingers that grip whatever you are attaching the device should come with different size rubber bushings or something to adjust the tension of the Carson's grip. If you attach it something relatively small in diameter, it will just barely hold onto it. I found using the Carson with iphone and a spotting scope that it would not hold the weight of itself while attached, I had to support it with my hand while taking pics. Overall: Good, but could be better with a little more thought.
