A great first katana for me
I have been interested in a solidly-made katana as I've always been interested in them. Hanwei swords have a good reputation in the industry by most accounts.
I was looking for really anything good, and did not have any specific demands. I found this one on another seller's website, and was surprised to find it was also sold at Optics Planet where I have ordered many things before. With the discount coupon, it was much cheaper than on the other online sellers, and Optics Planet has always had excellent service.
It arrived quickly and looks great! Very nice blade, nice fit to the scabbard, nicely tight wrappings on the handle. The blade looks really cool with its hamon. All fittings look like they are well made, and are strongly made and firmly attached.
I am very happy with this sword, and especially happy I got it at such a super price!
