when I opened the tiny box and removed its contents, I knew that I had gifted myself with a little beauty. I haven't had the opportunity to really try it out but I assure you that before many more days go by I'm going to find a nice piece of wood to whittle with it. the knife is small enough to carry in your jeans pocket without difficulty (not with tight fitting jeans), while a full-size stockman is too big and if you try to carry the full-size one in your pocket anyhow, people may think you have a physical problem. the knife was stiff to open but what the heck, its a new knife. in addition, I doubt if anyone who carries a knife would want to carry this one without spending a while with a good fine Arkansas stone. its a lovely little knife. its a finely made little knife. its a very good little knife and just about any boy growing up or any man still growing up, should have a very good little knife. this size knife would probably successfully fulfill better than 90 percent of the daily needs of its owner. if you're going to climb in your pickup and head out into uncharted territory, take the full size stockman - or better yet, a machete. watch for snakes...
