This knife is heartbreakingly beautiful. Both in its history, and its form, function and design. It is as deadly as it is elegant. I bought two of these, one for myself and one for my son, who is an Army Ranger, to carry into combat with him. I had engraved with the 75th Ranger Regimental Crest and his initials on the ricasso opposite the side with the thumbprint. Very happy with knives and with the service from Optics Planet, who shipped the knives to me exactly as promised.
Pros:
Simple, elegant, historical, and deadly
Form, function, elegance. Deadly.
Cons:
Fighting knife, not a machete, not for chopping trees.
Best Used for:
Display and combat.
Would recommend: Yes

This knife is a true copy of the original by the original manufacturer. I haven't found an original used in WWII yet, but this will do nicely until I do. This knife is designed for stabbing, not camping. Don't expect to use it to chop wood.
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
None
Best Used for:
Historical memoribilia
Would recommend: Yes
