Be aware of fake Casio watches

by Iggy, from AZ, United States Written on November 30, 2020
Bought my watch at Kohl’s $400. The battery lasted less than 1 and half year. I took my watch to a watch repair, I was informed why it the light stop working it had the wrong battery and no capacitor. Be careful when buying a Casio you don’t know where it’s made.
Pros:
  • Looks
Cons:
  • Fake

Finally! A watch worth keeping!

by Spazzedninny, Verified Owner from AK, United States Written on January 20, 2017
After numerous watches that didn't hold up to the demands of my profession, this watch has finally met all my needs. The controls are very easy to navigate. Solar Power charges the watch very quickly in direct sunlight and maintains a full charge (wear jackets that cover the watch when I'm outside) but even with the few 4 hours of sunlight we get right now during Alaskan winters, there is ample battery to keep it going (sleep mode helps). I have found the thermometer to be approximately 15 degrees higher than the ambient air temperature when on the wrist due to body heat so take that into account and you'll be just fine. The altimeter is accurate when the conditions are met. I did notice the altimeter gets a bit wonky when on planes or rapid changes in temperature and altitude but I can live with that. It's still close enough to give me an idea of what's going on. The barometer is accurate which is a huge bonus and I love being able to track weather patterns which is very important to keep me out of trouble in the Alaskan wilderness where I don't have access to weather reports. The compass is spot on as compared to the gyro and fluxgate compass on my ship with the ability to adjust variation to your location. Very comfortable to wear all day long and have not had any issues diving with it in 28 degree water down to 30 feet as of yet. I considered several smart watches and do not regret getting this one.
