Most Helpful Positive Review This barrel has 5 groove (5R) rifling.
Great little barrel, the description doesn't mention it but I assure you the barrel has a nice 5 groove (5R) rifling down it. I used a KAK gas tube, KAK micro pistol buffer and tube (3 oz), a milspec BCG, and Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, set to full gas (there is still a small amount of forward bleed-off on full open gas, click 18 and 19.) Breek Arms 2 port threaded brake on the muzzle. Really didn't know what to expect when I loaded up the cheap Winchester white box 200 gr OTM subsonics, but it gently cycled all 20 of them and locked open the bolt. Loaded up 20 supersonic 125 gr car...

Failure to feed some 300AAC brands; they get stuck.

by 300Silent, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on November 3, 2025
I have several brands of 300 Blackout ammo I bought for twin AR Pistol builds I made with this barrel and another twin pair with Faxon 300AAC barrels. All the ammo worked fine for all guns except this barrel with Ammo Inc Stelth 300. The Stelth ammo would go into the chamber with about 1/8 inch of sticking out and the extractor could not pull it out when attempting manual cycling. The cartridge was jammed. Tried it with several samples from different boxes and they failed every time with this specific barrel only. Other ammos I tried worked OK in this barrel and the Stelth cartridges worked fine in the other barrels. The fault is the barrel and it's headroom manufacturing is not precise. I should have known better when I saw how I expensive these CBC barrels are.
Pros:
  • Cheap, works with some ammo
Cons:
  • Fails to feed with some types of ammo
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight

Perfectly Short

by Sean Estes, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on September 27, 2023
I bought this for a very short build and I couldn't argue with the price. This was advertised as using pistol length gas, but I ended up having to order a micro gas tube, 1.5" shorter than pistol length. Other than that, the threading is a bit tight, and I was a bit nervous getting the muzzle device on the first time, as I didn't want to destroy the threads in case they were uneven. Otherwise I would have given full marks. Would definitely still recommend!
Pros:
  • cost
  • Available length
Cons:
  • Tight threading
  • Incorrect labelling

Great little barrel!

My order arrived promptly (within 7 days). At only $79 you can’t beat it. 1500 rounds through it with zero issues or malfunctions. My surefire suppressor threaded on perfectly. A great value for that CQB build you’ve been wanting.
