I've never been big on the budget AR's, but I figured I would give this a try anyways at the price point of this kit. Optics Planet has always been great on getting the products to me in a timely manner and I received this pretty fast with free shipping. After unboxing the AR kit, I noticed the dust cover would not stay closed on the upper. I had seen reviews of this problem from a while back, but thought that it would have been fixed by now. I contacted CBC Industries and they responded quickly. They told me to send the upper back in, and they would see what's going on. The only problem with that, is I would be paying to have it shipped to them. So I started comparing the upper and dust cover to my other AR uppers. After checking them out, I went ahead and swapped the dust covers and problem solved! I ordered a new dust cover assembly for $10 instead of paying who knows how much to ship the upper back to CBC Industries. To me, this problem should have been caught at the factory. It is pretty obvious if a dust cover is not staying closed on its own. I'm still waiting on my lower to come in, so I don't have any feedback on the parts kit, but everything seems to be there. Overall the finish looks good and I will be happy after I get this thing put together. I Have reached out to CBC Industries to see if they can hook me up with some apparel, etc. in exchange for fixing this issue myself. For the money ($350) you get a lot if features I love. The freefloat handguard has a smooth/ non-railed section on top to make C-grio more functional. Birdcage muzzle is compact and effective. I put a small red dot that makes it easy to get on target which at 25 yards rips one hole groups all day. Still breaking in bolt carrier group and buffer as it occasionally has failure to feed. Can't complain about accuracy at all. It should be a great gun once I have a few hundred rounds through it.
