WRF. A VERY NICE OLD GUN
I’ve had my Winchester Rim Fire for as long as I was allowed to fire a gun. Back in the 60’s. It was my Father’s gun that he passed on to me to hunt Small Game.
Ammo back in the Late 60’s Early 70’s was very easy to buy. THATS WHEN SEARS SOLD GUNS AND AMMO OVER THE COUNTER IN CALIFORNIA.
Went into the NAVY IN 1973. And used it after I got back to the States.
Still have it. But I have since had it professionally worked on to replace the Bore. And get it a new overhaul. Case Colored Salt Blued.
This has has to
Be by far the best Pump 22 I own Hands down.
Still have plenty of Ammunition but now I know where I can buy some more. To stock up
Thank you for your post. It just made me think I should pull it out of the Gun safe for this year’s Woodchuck, Nothing like open sites at 100 Yards.
Racked up 99 Woodchuck’s one year. And a Skunk that got me when I got to close. Waiting for it to pop its head of its hole.
Oh well. Like they say it was time to go and get a cold beer in Coopetstown, NY. Had one side of the Bar to my-self. Cheers

ntique Ammo
I have an ancient octagonal barrel pump 22 WRF rifle that I acquired from a friend who had never fired it, maybe he didn't know what caliber it was, maybe he did. It was only after I tried to shoot it, did I realize it's ammo was hard to come by. I went online at Optic Planet tried to order it they didn't have it and put me a the back order list and after a few months it was back in stock. Now I have a gun that not only is a conversation piece but a usable firearm.
