Most Helpful Positive Review Fantastic binocular, especially for the price
Optics Planet shiped these out perfectly. It was double-boxed. The zoom SkyMaster is of high quality, way above the $108 price tag. When you focus at 100x, it stays in focus throughout the entire zoom range. Field of view and brightness are very fine at the higher settings. The tripod mount and...

Most Helpful Negative Review Good for the price
These binoculars are good binoculars for the money. The clarity is ok but not perfect, when you zoom to the max magnification you get a little halo effect around the images. On the other hand if you don't go max zoom they work fine and are fairly clear. I have to say I have enjoyed using them.

Wow!!! And LOL!!

by wdbnder, from MA, United States Written on May 17, 2017
I will first admit, I am no expert in these kind of things, that being said. We bought these binoculars based on the "numbers" having no idea how well they worked to look over the mountain veiws at our house. When they came in I just laughed and was immediatly reminded of the movie "space balls" and the very large binoculars in movie. Anyway, these are very large in size but very surprisingly very lite! I bought a small tripod along with it and set it up. WOW!! I can see the color of birds eyes from a million miles away! Very pleaed with the range and the clarity of the view, pleasantly surprised!!
Pros:
  • light
  • clear optics
Cons:
  • size
Best Used for:
  • Viewing far objects

Good purchase

by llsock, from FL, United States Written on November 30, 2014
Bought these for our 11 year old grandson birthday. He loves astronomy. Thought would be a good start before advancing to a telescope. I will say I have difficulty focusing them at night, but not during the day. This may entirely be due to not having the best eyesight. My grandson, though has been having a great time with them. Has done some great watching of the moon, is spending all kinds of time outside with his sister and dad, trying to find different planets, etc. Overall a very good purchase.
