An Upgrade for the Celestron FirstScope
If you already have the FirstScope I'd recommend this as the cheapest way to upgrade it if you don't want to get a better telescope just yet. The finder scope looks good but is hard to use. The eyepieces aren't very good but they are worth the price. The cheapest moon filter costs half what this kit does.The software is OK but I use Stellarium more often(free on the internet). If you have the FirstScope already buy this kit. If not, look for another telescope or the version of the scope (hint-Orange tube) that comes with the accessories already. As an upgrade this is a good value for the price...

This accessory Kit was awesome. Easy to set up on PC and follow. Was a perfect purchase along with the telescope. Would recommend purchasing. Lens perform perfectly as well as ease in changing out. The scope was perfect and easy to view from both my 8 yr old granddaughter and 61 yr old me, thanks for the help guys !!

Quick Scope
This item is inexpensive and, once set up, is easy to use. Mounting accessories were helpful. Fine tuning requires patience because the three barrel knobs produce someone shaky results. But, with patience, one cannot beat it at this price. Accompanying lens bonuses have been tried yet. Star chart from the disk is good. There were some confusing moments in finding distant objects due to font size and trying to figure out exact location of named objects. Overall, fun to use and much better than a book or hand held "observatory." Particularly good results when increasing zoom and finally seeing an actual photo of the object. Makes it much easier to identify that object when finally found and viewed through the telescope.

Celestron FirstScope Accessory Kit
I think the spotting scope is a necessary addition to the FirstScope. Having tried to use it without the smaller scope, I can attest that it's not easy to line up correctly, especially at the higher magnifications. The spotting scope is a bit difficult to set up, but is invaluable.
