Legacy Reviewer's Review of Celestron LandScout 10-30x50mm Spotting Scope
I bought this for seeing paper targets at 50 and 100 yards at the public range. It works fine for that. Sure, a bit more magnification would be nice for 100 yards, but I can see the 6.5 mm (0.254 inch) holes in my targets just fine. 0.22 is a bit more challenging, but can be done. If you want something for viewing at moderate distances this is a nice, inexpensive scope. I especially like that it can be rotated in the holder so the eyepiece can be pointed to the side while on the shooting bench. Shoot, then look into the scope. No fuss. I almost talked myself into paying $100 more for a 60X scope, but it turns out that is just fine. I'm pleased. It has enough eye relief that I can look through at the highest magnification while wearing my eyeglasses. According to many of the reviews I read for the low-priced, higher-power scopes, that can be a problem.
