Legacy Reviewer's Review of Celestron Omni XLT 150mm Telescope
The mount vibrates with the slightest touch. You can see deep space objects but very blurry and small. I bought a bunch of eyepieces and barlows to try and get closer but to no avail. The worm gears have too much play in them. You can easily move the scope without using the knobs. Tried to adjust the gears but no help. The motor drive you buy separate does not work wellat all. It takes a bit to get it going and you have to adjust the worm gears on the mount to get it to work but this makes even more play in the mount. The small focal length should have been my first clue not to buy this. It's great for viewing close object like the moon but so are a cheap pair of binoculars. This is over priced for what it is. Not Optic Planets fault, this scope retails the same everywhere. Spend extra get a better scope. I'm out of luck with this scope, don't be disappointed like me.
Pros: It's pretty
Cons: Great for viewing the moon...viewing Saturn is like looking a clip art.
