when i received the mak scope, it came in good packaging and in straight forward order. As i was handling the unit, i found out that something inside the scope was loose and rattling. Just like the lens isnt firmly attached to the rubber casing. weird. also, looking through the optics, i found dust particles on the mirrors inside. not entirely sealed. Probably needs some QA when being built in China. Overall, the optics are superb. Beats the heck out of my regular refractor (bushnell) Maks are superior in light gathering power. As the eyepiece goes, it is a straight forward zoom type with very high 75x power. You can see loooong with this bad boy. though I will have to test this during my night sessions to give it a good work out on the stars. The field of view is good on low power but very limiting in high. the addition of a adapter makes me want to get some better eye pieces and work this baby out. overall, I like it. very handy and easy to use. mak-cass scopes are just what I needed for a higher quality grab and go scope.
Pros: Mak lens superior, easy to use, good price
Cons: cheap bipod, dust on inside of mirrors-from factory?
