Especially for looking at stationary points of interest, I cannot recommend this telescope enough. The image is fairly particular, and our have to work on your eye alignment, but if you either have the provided tripod setup on a sturdy table / elevated surface, or mount it to a better tripod, you can laser in pretty well on objects down range, the moon, or some other celestial bodies.
The quality is not the greatest, but if you are just looking to get refined details of objects beyond 100 yards, not make out text or granular points, this telescope cannot be beat for the price, especially if on sale for $120. Decent price and buy for that range.
Pros:
- Lightweight
- Affordable
- Versatility

I bought this scope years ago when I didn't want to drag a 45 pound Dobsknian up to the park to make a 15-minute sunspot count. The tripod isn't worth anything but you know that just looking at the picture. I find the image starts to go soft above 50x magnification. I don't like the focuser but then I hace never met a catadioptric focuser I did like. I can count sunspots, identify lunar features, watch the movement if the Galilean moons of Jupiter and see the rings of Saturn. I also use it for identifying distant birds if they will stay still long enough. This has been a good grab and go which has been largely unused lately after having acquired a small apochromatic refractor. But it will likely see service again at the end of the month when I do a stargazing event for elementary school kids who don't understand "Do NOT touch the telescope."
Cons:
- Need to supply your own tripod
- Focuser has a lot of backlash
Best Used for:
- Grab and go astronomy and birding

Fuzzy, dark and not worth the money. I purchased it - hated it and got rid of it. My 6-24x Vortex rifle scope was better than this junk. Very disappointed. OP Service is always great but Celestron scope is just junk, sorry to say.
Pros:
- stand is not so bad, OP service always great

An Excellent product for the price. Resolution at high magnification is very good. I use it for looking at wildlife around our farm and for recreational target shooting. It saves me a lot of trips out 100 yards and back to see how close I have come to zeroing. I would recommend this scope if you want a good product for a good price.

Fuzzy glass, focus dial is very sensitive. Would be ok to 100M but useless beyond that distance. I had my girlfriend end up using her rifle scope to spot me. If you are a hunter I suppose this would be ok but I wouldn't use it for precision shooting.

Low cost and I took a chance, wanted to be able to spot hits on steel at 600 yards. Ended up using it out to 750 yards and it got the job done. At 25x its clear, above that I could not use it, strained my eyes. All in all a great deal for a light weight spotting scope. Very clear at 200 - 300 yards.

My wife bought me a spotting scope for Christmas for my pistol box. It was way too big. Called Optic Planet and explained the reason for the exchange. They were easy to work with. After explaining what I wanted, they gave me a couple of options and recommended this scope. So far, the scope does what I want it to do. I can easily pick out the .22 holes. The angle eyepiece is perfect. My only complaint is the barrel of the scope is too big to stow easily in my pistol box.
Pros:
- Angle eyepiece
- tripod included
Cons:
- barrel of scope is too big to stow in a pistol box

Great scope, better at about 60x than 75x it gets dark and is not as clear all the way out. The tripod is way to shaky as well. The scope is of solid build and has a nice coating to take up bumps. All and all I’m happy with my purchase

I purchased this scope to spot .177 pellet holes on my 33ft indoor airgun range. It works perfectly for it's intended use. The 45 degree eyepiece, short body, and ability to focus at 10 meters or less are the reasons I chose this scope. The included zippered cover and tripod are very functional for a sub $100 scope.

Not a bad little spotting scope, tripod is a bit cheap and flimsy.Scope works fine to check out the moon and stars and that about it. I pretty much use it at the range and its really good for that to see where the impacts are. Its not water prof but it is rubber armored, its not heavy duty rubber armored as a military type spotting scope.
Over all its not a bad little scope.
Pros:
- Compact, easy to use. Reasonable price. Good quality for the money.
Cons:
- Tripod is suseptable to vibrations
