I ordered this Charles Daly .410 upper on 07 April 2023, delivery was delayed multiple times, but finally delivered on 17 April. Del-ton M4 kit on same order has been delayed multiple times as well going on 5 months now, and it's "expected to be shipped" 29 August after God knows how many shipping date changes without notification. Unfortunately, this is a known ploy of theirs.

After unboxing, I installed the .410 barrel assembly on intended Savage Arms lower receiver. Does not fit. Rear take down pin refuses to engage. I presumed there may be a problem with the quality and size of the take down pins. This week, I finally completed assembly of a new Aero Precision lower receiver and parts kit given their reputation for high quality and tight tolerances. Same problem, the Charles Daly .410 barrel assembly will not fit regardless of which take down pin is engaged first.

With upper receiver assembly properly positioned rear take pin engages, but pivot pin refused to engage upper receiver hole even with taps with plastic mallet. Pivot pin contact marks from the tapping indicate pin and receiver hole are misaligned by approximately 1 cm to the rear.

Removed .410 barrel assembly and repositioned it at various angles to see if pivot would engage. Finally got it engaged and locked, but now upper receiver protrudes about 1 cm too far to the rear. Can't even get it to mate flushed with the lower receiver to engage rear take down pin
