Most Helpful Positive Review Lighter than most steel plates
These are pretty nice. They are semi-heavy, but that's what you get for steel. I will say that I weighed them on a scale and each plate comes in at 5.9lbs which is actually lower than what I have seen other plates weigh. I've seen some ar500 plates on this website even over between the 7-8 lb range, so I am happy to see that it is 1-2 pounds lighter (up to 4 pounds per set) which is huge when it comes to plate carriers. They are single curve and after wearing them, my next set will probably be multi curve. I can see why multi-curve has its benefits especially with the rear plate. If you haunc...

Not sure what I can say about it as I have fortunately not used it for it's intended purpose but it appears to be exactly as described.

Good Value

great value for the money. Despite its solid construction, the armor plate is surprisingly comfortable to wear. It fits seamlessly into my tactical vest, distributing the weight evenly and allowing for natural movement.

Chase Tactical AR 1000

by Good, Verified Owner from NC, United States Written on June 8, 2024
Found to be as described. Would recommend. Weight feels great and is easy to handle. The package could've been packed better. The armor punctured the box it was shipped in. Some insert to prevent this would've been optimal. However there was nothing.
Pros:
  • None
Cons:
  • Packaging

Bought these on clearance for a great price. May be my 3rd or 4th set or loaner set but for the money definitely not a bad investment.

Great armor plate

by ktighe, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on March 12, 2024
Lighter then spartan armor plates with the same threat level protection worth the money. Nij rating does not state 3+ or special threat anywhere on the label. Other then that very happy with it. The contour of the plates match up really great and dont cause problems getting them into a carrier.

I want to buy a spare to shoot.

by Letmethink, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on February 27, 2024
Got 2, one clocked in at 6 lb .5oz....... This is a smoking deal for what they are. My other 2 are ar600 and easilly twice as thick, and are 7lb 6oz. If youre on the fence, get off it and buy a pair. At this price, i might get a spare to shoot.... Cost isnt much more than target steel.
