Great insert, shot well with a Pointer Single shot 12 ga
38 Special and .357 magnum were no problem. Good finish, clear instructions, useful tubular thick plastic package allows for great transport and storage container. Great buy. No failures. You can use it to remain in the 12ga barrel or to eject partly. It was easy to put in and remove from the 12 g b...

Dose not fit all break-action 12 ga shotguns...
Great product BUT it should be noted that this 8 inch insert dose not fit all the in the barrel of the H&R 12 break-action shotgun. It should be labled as such.NOT -(fits all break action shotguns)...BIG MISPRINT,buyer beware.
I made mistake.
I orderd 2 of the same item by mistake.I called your number and your specialist fixed my order to the items i wanted to order.I could not be happier and will order from you again.Thank You.

Fits great
Was worried about the insert fitting in my single shot shotgun from some reviews that I’ve seen.
But it fits perfectly in my Stevens/Savage 301 single shot shotgun.
As for accuracy, me personally am not looking for dead center shots. It’s to add versatility to the shotgun. If you’re looking for dead center accuracy at 150 yards buy an appropriate rifle.
The rifling is only about 6” of the insert but where the casing sits is the part that’s not rifled. The rest of the adapter is.
For what it is, I would buy again.
I also have other adapters that I use in this shotgun, .44mag/ .357-.38 / .22lr and a .45acp.
They all work well with out issues.
So hopefully this helps someone who is on the fence about buying one.

This is a Winner
I paid way more than double for my .22 lr insert from the most popular name brand. I shot both at the same target at 50 yards with just a front shotgun bead. Fired 15 rounds from each. I didn’t anticipate reviewing this product so I didn’t measure the groups but they where identical approx 2.5” groups in the same spot ( 7 o’clock 6” out ). I was extremely impressed and I am almost never impressed. Had I used proper sights the group from this product would undoubtedly have rifle like accuracy. I paid 45 bucks for this product and 120 for the most advertised brand. The fact they had the same zero tells me the same quality went into both products.
Pros:
- Wide extraction groove, great accuracy
Cons:
- Tight in the barrel, a bit difficult to remove
Best Used for:
- Makes a single barrel brake action shotgun unbelievably versatile

Inaccurate
I purchased this a couple of weeks ago and have tried to get it to be accurate but have not been able. I have shot over 50 rounds through it but have only been able to shoot to about 3 inch groupings at 25 yards. I thought it might just be my shooting ability with only being able to aim with the bead sight so I took it to a local gun smith about getting better sights on my savage single shot. The gun smith told me it will never achieve much accuracy because the wind disturbance in the barrel after the bullet it leaves the insert. It makes sense but I had not thought of that before. Has anyone else been told this or have "evidence" of this?

12 gauge to 38/357 adapter insert
I haven’t had a chance to try the adapter yet but wanted to share that it arrived to me in what seemed like used condition and even had rust on it. I’m disappointed but hope that it shoots better than it appears. Guess you get what you pay for.
Pros:
- Quick and easy to use.
Cons:
- Requires a ram rod to remove from barrel. Make sure you bring something into the field with you.
Best Used for:
- recreational

Chiappa 410/45 adapter for 12 guage
The spread for the 410 was extreme. Max distance 15 yds with turkey choke. you would have to be very close to hunt with 410. 3 shot Groups with 45 colt 10 inches at 35 yds I have a redot on my shotgun. dissapointed with performance.

12ga Adapter Insert
Although the complete set with case is hard to find, individual tubes can be purchased. These are amazing allowing the shooter to shot various caliber ammo in your 12ga. This is one of 5 that I purchased. I am very happy with this product.

12 gauge adapter
This adapter works perfectly in my stogger coach gun. I also own the 357 adapter. These have turned my over under 12 gauge, into a multi bullet rifle. I keep this in my vehicle while camping and exploring. Plus I can shoot without getting beat up by the shotgun...
Best Used for:
- Multi caliber survival gun
