Great concept, poor execution. This would be awesome otherwise.
Something changed. I bought one of these a few years ago and it fit fine. So I just ordered two more but the new ones don't fit the buffer tube (diameter of the opening is too small). Also, there needs to be more material around the tube, it's too thin and also the material used is a little flimsy. Great concept, Poor execution. I will be returning the two I just bought.

This is Great! Much better than D-shaped loops for a sling
Back in 2020 I bought this because I had previously tried a similar plate from a different brand that had D-shaped loops for a sling clip and it made the metal sling clip jamb into the receiver causing scratches and gouges. This Choate version solved the problem and I'm back to buy more. I was actually worried they wouldn't be available anymore but thankfully I'm in luck. I felt the need to leave a review after seeing it only had one review by someone giving it a one star rating. Perhaps it didn't fit that persons lower but it fit my cheapo mil-spec lower just fine.
Would recommend: Yes
Does Not Fit
I purchased this for an AR pistol build that I’m working on. When I attempted in install, it’s too small for the SB Tactical buffer tube that I am using. Needless to say, I was disappointed and will be returning.
