Choate 870 Extension

Works but not square to threads
This is my second one of these tubes. Both this brand. One on an LT20 20ga Remington 1100. This one on an older 12ga Remington 1100. They both attach and work well. No hangups, load well, run well. That said, as you tighten the tube and nut you can watch the end "wobble" around (what a machinist might call runout if it were rod stock in the lathe). You have to tighten enough to secure foregrip, while stopping at a point when clamping the tube to the barrel will have minimal stress on the barrel. I found this to be the point where the end of the tube is closest to the barrel and centered right to left, me and my guns anyway. I will also say that I prefer the aftermarket anodized aluminum followers over the provided orange plastic follower.

The Choate +2 extension tube for my American Tactical 870 clone is a perfect no-gunsmithing improvement to my tactical shotgun for home and property defense. I like the no-tip follower a lot. Big improvement over the OEM follower.

Great extended mag
the extended mag was easy to install (follow directions)and added 2 extra rounds to my home defense 870. Do I need them? Maybe. Better to have and not need than to need and not have. Good value.

Make your shotgun like a new gun
This product is unbelievable. Made my old shotgun hold 10 shells now. Very easy to install and looks like a over&under shotgun now. When I first looked at it I thought this is not going to be very sturdy. Boy was I surprised its very sturdy with the special clamp they give you to connect it to the barrel. Great price,great product, great delivery.
