Easy install on my Norinco Type 56
My dad baught a Norinco SKS Type 56 during the Clinton AWB. Nice little carbine that started life with the standard Chi-Com wooden stock - never liked it. Then progressed to the ATI folding stock - but the L.O.P. was way too long. Had the Tapco Intrafuse stock the longest - but that was still a sad attempt to make an AR. Finally decided to ditch the Tactical and went PRACTICAL. Saw a good review on YouTube, and the rest was history.

Great replacement
Actually purchased this to repair a rifle for someone else . His had a broken folding stock. There was a little bit of fitment I had to do on the upper handguard which is norm due to the multiple sks platforms. I like it so much I may purchase one for one of my sks’s. It’s light, it’s sturdy and it was a good deal.

Poor product
Don't expect a drop-in. Required fitting. Sling swivels are cheap and not centered. Overall cheaper feel to the stock.

Sks upgrade
Fit fine with no need to do anything, I left the wood on the gas tube it looks ok and you can rub the wood if ya think you lost the soul of the rifles old roots

- Length of pull , better pistol grip, bi pod capable if cut off the metal sling wire loop

Choate Traditional SKS Stock, Great Fit, Easy Install!(Chinese)
Very straightforward here. Stock looks great, lighter than the wood, very well made, easy install, fit great. Mine is a Chinese SKS. Kit Comes with everything you need, including a shim for the shorter framed SKS. Mine couldn't use the shim it arrived with, but I did shim it with some brass I had used to shim the wood stock. Absolutely fantastic choice if you don't want to bubba up your SKS too much, but the wood stock isn't your thing either. Adds some LOP as well for those that find the LOP of the wood stock too short.

- Exposes a little more of the receiver on the top and bottom vs. Wood stock

Good fit, right price
Cheap stock for a cheap gun. Fit my sks perfect. It’s 3” longer than the original stock, now I can comfortably shoot the rifle. I had to clean up a few of the seams where it wan molded together, not a big deal.
