Does NOT fit 7/8 Contender barrel
This forend comes nowhere near fitting a 7/8 barre, as it leaves a large gap between the channel and the barrel. I'm contributing this to very poor manufacturing and quality control. At the muzzle end, the barrel channel measures 0.791", in the middle it measures 0.747", and at the back 0.783". Either way, it won't fit my standard diameter tapered Contender barrel or my bull barrel. Both sit very high with a very noticeable gap.

Good product
I wanted to use a carry strap on my Contender with my handgun barrels. This works well for the intended use. I believe this is an older product design, and I much prefer the ruberized G2 style forend. I did have to knock off a little of the edges along the top of the barrel channel to fully seat this on a bull barrel. Comes with screws but no washers.
