My first rifle, a Remington 7mm, was showing its age but I couldn’t part with it. When I saw that Christensen Arms made a carbon fiber wrapped stainless barrel in 7mm, I thought it would be a great project to refurbish my rifle. It took a bit of effort to remove the old barrel, but the new barrel screwed together well and has a very solid fit, attesting to its precision CNC machining. Took it to the range and shot 3/4” groups at 100yds! There’s nothing like a carbon fiber barrel to improve accuracy. Overall, I really like the look of the carbon fiber, and it lightened my rifle which is a big plus. One other thing I especially appreciate is that the muzzle end is threaded and comes with a thread protector. So, it shouldn’t be hard to add a suppressor, but that will be another review….
